Here is a list of all the Fairy Fountains, Great Fairy Fountains, Red Fairies, and Sub-Fairy Fountains in the game. Fairy Fountains are good for getting health really fast without buying fairies at the market. You can bottle the fairies so when you die you won't get a gameover and you can continue from the exact place and doing the same thing you were before you lost your health.

Great Fairy Fountains hold the Great Fairies. When you first meet them they give you a magic power, restore your health and fill your magic meter. When you summon them after they give you the magic power they restore your health and magic. To summon them, enter the room, go up to the Triforce symbol, and play Zelda's Lullaby on your Ocarina. Then the Great Fairy should appear. Unfortunately, you can't catch them in a bottle because they are bigger even than Adult Link.

FAIRY FOUNTAIN LOCATIONS

#1 - Hyrule Field

After getting the bomb bag make sure you have some bombs with you. To the left of Hyrule Market Town there should be a bunch of tree's on the opposite side of a stream. In the middle of it all there should be a single boulder. Blow it to smitherines with a bomb to reveal a secret grotto. Of course there will be a Fairy Fountain there.

#2 - Graveyard

Enter the Graveyard (night time if your a child, otherwise the little kid will stop you when you try to open the grave) and follow the path in these directions: left, right, right. The second grave you come upon should have some plants in front of it. Go around to the back of it and pull the grave to reveal a secret grotto. Go in and blow up the dirt wall with a bomb. Enter and turn the corner to see a fairy fountain.

#3 - Zora's River

Enter Zora's River with bombs. Then pass The Fabulous Frog Chorus climb up the two steps and follow the path until you come up to a drop that leads into a stream. It is easier as an adult to do the rest but it is possible as a child. As an adult, turn right to see a platform in the stream. Just jump down, climb up the platform, climb the ladder, blow up the first boulder you see (the only boulder), and fall down the secret grotto. Also when your an adult, you can take the magic bean plant up there (that is, of course, if you planted it while you were a child). If your a child, grab the cucco near the entrance to Zora's River, and glide down to the platform, since you can't naturally reach it.

#4 - Sacred Forest Meadow

Enter the Sacred Forest Meadow with once again, bombs. Go right in front of the long narrow passageway where when your an adult there is a giant Moblin, and as a child there are two Angry Deku Scrubs. Turn around to see a ladder, climb it and drop into the small opening. Blow up the boulder and fall into the secret grotto.

#5 - Zora's Domain

This one is only accessable as an adult. Enter Zora's Domain with the Ocarina of Time ready. Climb/drop down to the center of the ice platform and onto the island. Near the center of the island, play the Song of Storms to make a secret grotto appear. Fall in for the Fairy Fountain.

#6 - Gerudo Fortress

This also is only available to Adult Link. Enter the Gerudo's Fortess and head left of the training ground (door closed by metal gate). Go inbetween the four boxes and turn to your right. Stand behind the pair of boxes and play the Song of Storms on the Ocarina of Time. Drop into the Secret Grotto that appears.

GREAT FAIRY FOUNTAIN LOCATIONS

#1 - Death Mountain Trail

At the very top of Death Mountain Trail there will be two passages. The one to your left is the correct one (the other one leads you inside to Death Mountain Crater). Bomb the clothe sheet (at least it looks like clothe to us) and enter to receive the spin attack for your sword(s). Just press and hold the B button to charge your sword and release for a powerful all around you attack!

#2 - Hyrule Castle

Climb the vine near the entrance and jump off the opposite side of the gate. Walk over to a sign that says "Dead End" and bomb the boulder behind it. Enter the small passage to receive Din's Fire. Please see Weapons & Items.

#3 - Zora's Fountain

Go to the right of Lord Jabu-Jabu or where he used to be and pass the fallen tree. You should come across a small shore with some trees and shrubs. Near it's wall there should be tons of boulders and a huge crevise in the wall. Place a bomb near the crack and the whole wall should explode so stand back. Enter to receive Farore's Wind. Please see Weapons and Items.

#4 - Death Mountain Crater

Enter Goron City and go in Darunia's room. Pull the giant statue to reveal an opening for you to go in. Once inside Death Mountain Crater (with the Fire Tunic on, you can only do this as an adult) just turn right and follow the bridge to three boulders. Destroy the two on the right with the Megaton Hammer (thought I was gonna say bombs, huh?). Enter to receive an Extended Magic Meter. Your Magic Meter will double in size.

#5 - Desert Collosus

Follow the right wall to reach a crack in the wall that is in between two palm trees. Blow it up with a bomb and enter to receive Nayru's Love. Please see Weapons and Items.

#6 - Ganon's Castle

Once you have the Golden Gauntlets, follow the path and pass the entrance to the inside of Ganon's Castle. At the very end of the path there should be a giant stone tower of some sort. Go and pick it up to reveal the entrance to double your Defence. Each Heart will be worth what used to be two Hearts and the Hearts will have a white casing.

RED FAIRIES

Red Fairies can not be caught in bottles but they work miracles. They can give you instant health and magic restoration when you are no where near a Great Fairy's Fountain. These can be found at any Gossip Stone or some times things Navi highlights green. Simply play the Song of Storms, Epona's Song, or Zelda's Lullaby at Gossip Stones. At the not so specific things play the Song of Storms or the Sun's Song. It's better just to get used to the Song of Storms.

SUB - FAIRY FOUNTAINS

"Sub - Fairy Fountains" are where normal pink fairies can be found when there not in "fountains". They can be found in 4 places.

#1 - The first is in the Desert Collosus. Head to the Oasis and stand on the rock. While on the rock, face the dry pond and play the Song of Storms on the Ocarina of Time. The pond will fill up with water and a batch of fairies will appear for the taking.

#2 - The second Sub - Fairy fountains can be found while you are a child at any place you have planted a Magic Bean. Go up to the small plant and play, can you guess, the Song of Storms on the Ocarina of Time. The plant will grow up on a large stem and sprout three fairies. This process can be repeated as soon as the plant shrinks back down again.

#3 - As a child if you find butterflies just don't pass them up. Pull out a Deku Stick and walk VERY slowly. Hopefully the butterfly will follow you, land on the Stick, and transform into a single Pink Fairy.

#4 - The final one is in none other than Ganon's Castle. It can be located under the bridge that leads you to Ganondorf's Tower. Use the Lens of Truth and face south on the map to reveal a hidden passageway. Enter to find the same amount of fairies as in a normal Fairy Fountain. There are also four Business Scrubs that have rip-off deals but will definetly help you with your battle with Ganondorf/Ganon, that is if you have the Giant's Wallet.
